Caylee Anthony and Trayvon Martin- Wake up Florida!

Surprise, surprise. Casey Anthony has found religion… Casey Anthony has managed to get herself back into the news yet again. This time the website Radar Online ran an “exclusive” story that Casey has found religion. Of course! This often happens when people are in prison or on probation but Casey manages to make it all about her. So much for the wonderful therapy she is supposed to be receiving.

As we all know, Antony is on formal probation and must check in with her probation officer once a month in person. She also is required to have a job and/or attend school. In typical Anthony fashion she is “attending” online courses. And yet, the interesting thing is that she appears to be paying her bills and in good standing with her probation officer. How is this possible? Let’s not forget that she has IRS liens and owes the State of Florida money for the investigation into the death of her daughter Caylee. Is she paying these debts- NO. But, she is paying her Internet provider.

What is wrong with law enforcement in Florida? First, there was the weak and flawed investigation and then the Probation error! The people of Florida should demand better. Sad to say but now the Casey Anthony case is not the most famous case in Florida. Sadly we now have the murder of Trayvon Martin. That is yet another botched investigation. Enough is enough. How many children need to die? Yes, this is Florida where Adam Walsh was murdered in the 1970’s. In that case his father, John Walsh, became a one-man crusade to stop child abuse and other violent crimes. We must all learn from him and use Casey Anthony the way she uses the media and us. Use her to shine the light on child abuse and neglect. FIVE children die everyday in the United States from abuse or neglect. Five children we did not protect.

Hundreds of people have sent letters to the U.S. Attorney and FBI about the Casey Anthony case, and thousands have signed a petition through change.org. There is also a wealth of information on The Caylee Daily. We must make changes to our criminal justice system, and we must speak out. We need Equal Justice and we need it now. This is not the time for mistakes or sloppy behavior. Now is the time for change. After all, this is an election year and the time to demand more. How Long Until Casey Anthony and her poor dog are in trouble???

UPDATE: Why is CAsey making her “hideout” public? Countdown to her return to jail…

As my readers know, I have been respectful of the fact that Casey Anthony was acquitted of murder. This does not mean I feel she is not guilty. But now, Anthony and her team of losers have gone too far. How predictable!

Sad but true, many offenders return to prison on probation violations. It looks like Casey will be no different. This at least because of the additional Videos she “released” this week. What a mess and how STUPID! And, now her hiding place is out as are pictures of her dog? Hello Humane Society.

Let’s address why I think this was so foolish first and then we will get to the stories the tapes tell.

Casey Anthony is on ‘Supervised Probation.”  That means that she has strict accountability including checking in monthly with her probation officer, filing an income/loss statement, having a job or going to school and other things. In her last official released probation statement, Anthony claimed she had started online classes but did NOT have a job. Yet, on the video that was allegedly made two months ago, Anthony states that she bought the computer with her own money. WHAT MONEY??? This, from a woman who told her probation officer she had no job. Any money she earns must be accounted for because she has liens from the IRS and the State of Florida. SO, these videos are either showing her lying about where the computer came from or she lied on her probation report. Neither scenario is good for her.

Next, the tapes tell a story. Months ago I wrote about how the Jail House tapes of her family visit told a story of a very twisted family. Not just Casey, all of them. I received lots of angry comments and mail. But, of course it turned out during the trial that this family does have problems and many secrets. Hey, even perjury by momma Cindy Anthony! But, these new tapes of Casey show that she has learned NOTHING, has no remorse and obviously is severely mentally ill. After all, she talks about how she gets to have a camera and a phone! Hello, you had that in jail and in court. And, she talks about needing things of her own! Nothing about Caylee of course, and worse yet, nothing about wanting to lead a good and productive life. Let’s not forget that she did spend almost 4 years in jail for FRAUD. So, she is a felon and she should be trying to change.

As a prison coach and expert, I see amazing change everyday. Cases like Casey Anthony bring an even worse name to the rest of us. This insider suggests that Casey Anthony and her “team” get it together. But, don’t worry. I am sure her probation officer and others are on the case. Something else will pop big time, and soon. How sad and what a waste of our time and money. Get Real Casey Anthony, but I will save my Incarcerventions for those who care and can change. Look, I am not expecting Casey Anthony to practice some true Restorative Justice, but anything positive would be a start. I just do not see it.

Last word on Casey Anthony!!!

 

Casey Anthony has checked in with her probation office in Florida. As anybody who knows how this goes, the probation officer will now make a plan with Casey herself. This supervised probation is to include random home visits, employment, further education and a written check in list sent by the fifth every month.

So, Casey has a few options as a convicted felon and a notorious individual. She can enter a re-entry program in Florida or try for a transfer out of state to a treatment program. The issue with that is going to be MONEY. Who is paying for all of this?

Probation will be the best thing that has happened to Anthony. She will now have accountability while being free in the outside world. This will give her time to rebuild her life. However, she will have to play by the rules. She did it in jail, so maybe the structure is just what she needs. As a prison coach I have seen it all and been there myself. It’s what happens after probation that we should all be worried about.

On another note: Florida is a Felony register state, so if she stays there it will be public record. Florida also leads the nation in formal re-entry programs. Former Governor Busch actually implemented a Re-Entry task force to address the issues raised by the many obstacles to life after prison and assimilation.

As for a BIG MONEY deal for Casey Anthony, Don’t bet on it. Now that probation is involved, they will be making sure the money is allocated to where some of it belongs. Hello IRS, State of Florida and others.

Seems that Baez overestimated his cash cow and that cash has disappeared for now. Time will tell. In the meantime, the circus has moved to Los Angeles and the upcoming trial of Michael Jackson’s doctor Conrad Murray.

Casey Anthony-Perp Walk- What are the options???

There are days to go until Casey Anthony herself must show up in Florida to begin her one year of supervised probationSo, will she or won’t she? As of now Anthony is set to surrender to Orange County, Florida officials in one week. But, her lawyers have filed a stay and appeal. The appeal is to be heard and ruled on by Monday. As we all know, Judges are not often overturned on appeal.

My bet, Anthony will have to serve her probation just like the rest of us. But, how, when, where??? She is not in Florida as Florida is a Felony Registry State. So, we would know if she was there. Sources have confirmed to me that Anthony did try to enter a rehab program for PTSD and other psychological issues. The question is did she stay there? If so, that could be one way to have her probation transferred. That because a disruption in treatment would be harmful to her. But, that raises the issue of public disclosure, her alleged lack of money etc…

Remember, Florida has declared Anthony indigent. Hence, she is still allowed to bill taxpayers for her criminal legal fees. But, if she is not in treatment and just lying low somewhere, Anthony has some serious issues to deal with. One may argue how she will be able to afford her ticket back to Florida, and how she will actually be able to hold a job. Remember, a lump sum payment for an interview is not a job that qualifies for probation, and it creates all kinds of other problems for her. For example, she has IRS liens, court courts, probation fees and more. Those will eat up most or all of a lump sum. And, they take priority over civil issues and Casey Anthony’s quest for high living!

However, the BAEZ team seems to have overestimated their meal ticket and interest in a large payment for Anthony. They also did not consider the financial obligations of her probation. Sloppy, sloppy. With this in mind, do not be surprised if the Baez team actually wants to show up in Florida and use this as a photo opportunity. This, much like a perp walk!! It is not out of the question to even have Baez attempt to sell the pictures of Casey landing and on her way to court. Cha ching, at least for Baez and Perry Mason.

Time will tell, but the sideshow continues and we are all still watching.

Can Casey Anthony sue the State of Florida???

 

Surprise, surprise! There are so many twists and turns in the Casey Anthony case that one can barely keep up. As a former Wall Street person I know that timing is everything. So, let’s look at the suspicious timing in this case of late.

First all we must start with the very quick verdict and the timing of the release of Casey Anthony. Originally she was set to be released one day and then the Department of Corrections recalculated the date to one 4 days later. Huh?

Next, Casey is told that her probation for the check fraud convictions is over as she served it in jail? Really??? So, she is free and clear and off to an unknown location.

Then come the fake reports and sightings including one right back at Orlando airport. That is the silliest one of all. Florida is a Felony Register State and Anthony would have to register with the Sherriff’s department if she was there.

Then we have the networks all saying they are bailing, doubt it and so the Anthony team changes course and says Casey is in rehab because she needs treatment for serious mental health issues. Ya think??? This timing is also suspicious. Was the Baez team tipped off that the ex judge was going to amend his order and make Casey reserve her probation the typical way?

Last but not least, Judge Strickland’s timing? After all, he has had almost 3 weeks to figure this error of HIS out. But, he signs an order and goes on vacation?! Timing anyone?

So, now we are left with a huge legal fight and that means bill for the State, as Anthony has been declared indigent. Plus all of the court costs that have been rung up and get ready…

Casey Anthony may be in a good position to now SUE the State of Florida for unjust prosecution, discrimination and more. You name it. Casey Anthony, who needs a network gig, you’ve got Florida???

See what happens when even judges are looking for their fifteen miinutes. Errors and money, money, money. Same thing happened in the Lindsay Lohan case when the judge made an error and the probation department tried to violate Lohan and send her to jail. Well, surprise, surprise, the original judge had made an error and not ordered drug and alcohol testing past a certain date.

This week I discussed all that is Casey Anthony and more on Issues with Jane Valez Mitchell and Nancy Grace. But, there is so much more to tell!

The big question. Will Casey Anthony have to go back to Florida and serve probation, will she transfer her probation to where she is now or will the order be vacated? If so, watch for the Baez team to file a complaint and then a lawsuit perhaps?

And, did the State check to see where the $200,000 Casey received went before they declared her indigent? One thing is clear. Our criminal justice system is a mess and we can spell is Casey Anthony. Finally she is the poster child for something!
